While looking to improve the performance and efficacy of our Caterpillar engines Performance Diesel Inc began to work with the programming found in the ECM. By changing some simple programming information Performance Diesel Inc is increasing the Performance of the engine while simultaneously improving the fuel mileage. Each tune will allow the driver increase their throttle response with the proper fueling to avoid loss of fuel mileage and increased EGT's that are found in trucks that are over fueled. With this new fueling feature found in our ECM drivers will find that they are not working their engine as hard to do the same work, this is because you will be driving and towing using the torque of the engine instead of the horsepower.
While the our Performance ECM works well as a standalone unit, many customers have found that combining this ECM with our Big Boss turbo will produce the best results. Some customers have reported dyno results that read 600 hp to the ground with a substantial increase in fuel mileage while running our products.
